- You know my favorite expression about beauty is this.

- Beauty fades, dumb is forever.

- I love it so much.

Today's idioms and expressions however,

will celebrate just how (bleep) beautiful you are.

First, some very British things

to say to someone if they look just (imitates kissing).

Okay, Americans say this too.

But they don't say it cool like we do.

Pronunciation, say with me, gorgeous.

You are gorgeous.

This one however, fit.

This one is very British.

Americans don't use this one.

Mate, she is well fit.

She or he is bangin'.

Usually we don't pronounce the G, banging.

No, then it sounds like the verb.

It's like the slang verb of saying to have sex, to bang.

Yeah, so (laughing) if you say she's banging,

people might be confused which banging you mean.

So, with pronunciation, drop the G, bangin'.

Mate, did you see Captain America's ass?

Again, all of these adjectives, yes they mean good looking,

but they have this sexy quality to it.

So like don't say it to a family member,

that would be awkward.

When you say this expression, something is on point,

this doesn't mean sexy, it just means something

is wow (hands clapping) pfft, that's perfect.

Like this, if you want to complement someone

on a physical thing,

wow, your hair is on point today.

No one's ever said that to me though.

It's just rude.

But basically, basically, to be on point means,

this thing, it's exactly right, it's exactly perfect.

So yes, it could be something physical,

but remember it means this, it's exactly right.

So it could be,

if you want to say your argument is perfect.

Yes, I agree totally.

You are on point.

When someone is eye candy, this means literally

they are candy for your eyes.

So when you look at them, you have that same pleasure

just from looking at them.

You look at their big dumb head,

because the big dumb face is just so pretty.

For example, Maria hired Brad for a job.

Brad is rubbish at the job,

but why did she hire him?

Because he's good eye candy.

She wants something nice to look at in the working day.

Sure, he's dumb, he can't do the job properly,

and he always loses us money,

but he's good eye candy, so he stays.

Just so you know, all of these expressions for today,

are genderless, you can use them for everyone.

So go nuts, have fun.

Now similar to eye candy, when you are dating someone,

because they are so attractive, they make you look good.

This is what we call arm candy.

So it has a positive effect on you,

because they are on (tongue clicking) your arm.

For example, if you have an event,

you might want to invite someone very attractive

because they are good arm candy.

They make you look good because they look good.

Next we have a head turner,

or as a verb to turn heads.

That's this situation.

This one is very literal.

You're walking down the streets,

and you are so attractive.

You, you are so attractive, when you walk down the street,

and someone passes you, they literally turn their heads.

Like, what, she is a head turner.

In this case it's a noun.

A head turner, one head turner, right?

Or as a verb, she turns heads.

Wow, she really turns heads.

Now this one is not very, very common,

but you will definitely hear it.

Especially like for example, for example,

in the Oscars, people might say,

wow her dress is so fantastic,

she's really going to turn heads tonight.

In other words, every one who walks by her,

will be like what, literally.

pfft there, bam, now it's perfect.

No imperfections, no flaws.

It is flawless.

So if you say someone looks flawless,

or they are flawless, wow you are flawless.

You're saying they're perfect.

Everything about them is perfect,

nothing wrong, no imperfections.

Just like you, just like your face.

Now these next two expressions

describe when you make an effort to look good.

When someone puts a lot of effort into their appearance,

they do their make-up, their hair, clothes, whatever.

We say that that person is done up.

Now this is a really useful phrasal verb,

to do something up, or to do up something.

it means to renovate, to make something look better.

To improve the appearance of something.

In this case, she did herself up,

and she might just say, wow look at you all done up.

See again, British sounds better than American.

Another example might be, you are going to a party,

you need time to make an effort on your appearance.

So you might say, are you ready, we have to leave?

No, no, no, no, no, give me mm 20 minutes,

I need to do myself up.

You're making an effort with your appearance.

Could be your hair, make-up, face, butt, everything.

How would you do up a butt?

Maybe you can't do up a butt.

So when you say that someone looks done up,

you are acknowledging that they made an effort

on their appearance.

And the last two expressions, they kind of go together.

If you want to complement people

on how well they're dressed,

maybe they look fancy like here.

They're wearing a really nice suit,

or a really nice dress.

You can say these things.

To be decked out.

Wow, look at you two all decked out.

You're wearing fancy clothes.

So this applies to fancy, nice clothes in general.

So you need that verb be, to be decked out.

To be suited and booted.

Pronunciation very important here.

Not sweeted, no, soo, suited.

Suited and booted, see it rhymes.

Suited and booted.

Which one is suited and booted?

It's this guy, why?

Because literally he's wearing a suit.

Maybe boots as well, but that's not important.

If someone is wearing a suit and they look nice,

they are suited and booted.

When was the last time that you were suited and booted?

For me I can't remember the last time

I was suited and booted.

It was at a Christmas party.

I should wear suits more often.
