guys what's up we're live um so we're just gonna try something new today we're gonna make coffee
um because we make coffee every once in a while and um yeah I'll just teach you some vocabulary
as I'm making it and we'll hang out and maybe if there's any questions that I see I can answer them
but I just thought this would be kind of fun and unexpected so here we go say hi Rocco say hi to
all your fans they always say what a cute boy you are they always say what a cute boy you are
okay so um making coffee vocab okay if you already know the word you just have to say like I know
that Stephanie teach us something harder okay oh the first one is attempt we're gonna attempt
to make coffee on a live video um this means we're gonna try we don't know if it's gonna work out but
we're gonna try what type of coffee do you like to drink okay I'm not really a coffee snob you guys
but I do like strong coffee so coffee snob that's a great word that's like for people that they know
their coffee you know what I mean when you know your coffee or you know your whatever see this is
already getting difficult okay don't choke don't choke did you wash it yeah okay good we have a
problem around here with people forgetting to wash fruit that's a No-No my friends you always have
to wash fruits they're full of pesticides nasty toxic things you don't want that going into your
body okay so anyways it was my lesson you guys you guys attempt to make coffee no we already talked
about that oh dang it see I'm getting so lost in all the vocabulary you I should ask you guys
what was I talking about attempt to make coffee what kind of coffee do I oh I'm not a coffee snob
okay yeah so I don't know um like a ton about coffee I do like to grind my own beans he does
this when I'm talking and explaining stuff he starts talking to because he like wants to be
like Mommy I guess but I like grinding my own coffee beans just because I don't think it's
necessarily better like when it's freshly ground I mean maybe it is but I like it I don't know why
I like the because it really makes you feel like you're making a coffee because if you just have
your ground your coffee beans already ground or if you just have the capsules that you just like
pop into your Keurig I think that's how you say it right Keurig um then it's like where's the fun in
that right but then sometimes I do feel like I'm over complicating it when I just want a coffee and
I want it fast and I have to go through all these steps so somebody said are you a coffee holic no
I'm not thank God because coffee addiction is real oh Arlo do you want to say hi say hi hello
hi okay so um vocab I'm gonna take out the old coffee filter with the
old coffee grounds okay so when you grind up the Coffee Bean these are called the
grounds okay like with the ground that you walk on so we're gonna throw away
the old grounds and the old filter my assistant Renzo will do this for us
we're gonna get a new filter a clean filter and here we have our coffee pot this is called
a coffee pot at least that's what we call it you know when when you learn words like
vocabulary words you guys please keep in mind that these are words that um maybe some people
use different words okay like maybe in Ireland they use different words I have no idea this
is the wrong coffee filter babe this is for um like a pour over when I do the pour over Style
this is a different filter for that so we need the big round ones yes the
SE these okay now he doubled up which he did not need to do clearly Stephanie has more experience
making the coffee in this household he gave me multiple filters come on Renzo come on we're live
you have to get this right he said I'm a mother guy that's funny okay but he does like my coffee
so I like coffee really strong and I like it with heavy whipping cream um I don't like it with milk
I think that's gross I don't like it with um half and half I think that's too weak I like the
good like heavy whipping cream I want my coffee creamy and strong and no sugar sugar is so bad
for you so just eat sugar in your fruit like don't don't dump it in your drinks foreign on that one
have our heavy whipping cream oh my arm is getting tired no it's okay because
he wants to be with his mommy okay we need the coffee beans please good sir
we have a broken coffee filter Arlo you ripped this up baby you didn't have to do that what
okay so here we have our coffee beans I get these at Costco it's
just a Pete's brand dark roast and then we're gonna grind them
so this is the coffee grinder okay so who here grinds their coffee sugar isn't good
that's right yes so true avoid the sugar if you avoid the sugar in most things then when you do
have sugar you don't feel as bad like literally and metaphorically because if you have too much
sugar your body will actually react to that um look Stephanie the nutritionist yesterday I was
a financial advisor today I am a nutritionist you guys are learning about my other interests
okay um and then we're gonna need about half a cup of coffee beans
if we find me the half a cup please this is my life you guys this is Stephanie the delegator
and Renzo the amazing assistant okay so this is a half cup measuring cup okay I'm expecting you
guys to learn all of this vocabulary okay no lazy students here all the vocab that I teach you you
guys have to learn it you have to memorize it you have to use it okay I get though that it's hard
to use vocab if you can't relate like if you're over here like yo girl I don't like coffee I don't
drink coffee then that's gonna be hard okay so we have half a cup of coffee beans and I spilled
some of the beans okay so yeah oh that's a good book who knows what it means to Spill the Beans
that's actually an idiom we have and it means what does it mean
oh like to accidentally give away something like private information or a secret or a surprise if
you spill the beans you let everybody know like um how what example could we
give does somebody here have a good example you found out that your sibling is pregnant
oh okay that's a good idea like if I found out that a sister of mine were pregnant and then I
tell the family before she has a chance to tell them we could say I spilled the beans
accidentally but sometimes people do it on purpose like I'm here to Spill the Beans I'm here to give
information anyways you guys can look that one up later and get better examples on how to use it
okay so we're gonna grind the coffee beans now it's gonna be loud so take
your headphones out put it on mute do what you got to do I can move
it somewhere else okay yeah maybe that's a good idea assistant rental
here Arlo in the meantime why don't we talk come on come here why don't you come talk to talk to
everybody we're he actually I just realized Arlo probably has no idea what we're doing like he
doesn't know there's actually people here he just is like why is the mom recording this long video
so who here drinks coffee show of hands who here drinks coffee you know the cool thing
about coffee is people drink it all over the world and it's different all over the world
um I used to have a friend in high school who was Armenian and the coffee they made
was so good she would make it in these little cups like this and like one or two scoops of
coffee and a scoop of sugar and then when you finish drinking it there's like mud at the
bottom mud right you guys know what mud is right it looked like mud um those coffees were so good
this is the longest it has ever taken me to make coffee okay okay you always have
to smell your coffee after you grind the beans you have to smell the coffee grounds
that's just part of the experience here yeah we're gonna let them smell first here smell
okay now here's Mel Arlo okay and then rockito smell um
okay and then we put our coffee grounds inside this is the filter without spilling and messing up
and we have it set up perfect then you make sure you've installed everything completely and we
dumped the water we're gonna have coffee okay so I'm dumping the water or you could say I'm pouring
the water if you want to be a little more refined and pouring the water okay yeah and then we need
to put the lid where's the lid I didn't wash it yeah it is could I wash it oh wait wait Arlo wants
to press the buttons he's gonna press them in a minute wait wait the lid yes this is the lid okay
hang on Arlo do not press anything yet because then it's going to start making the coffee and
the pot is not there okay so now you press the on button go ahead Arlo no no wrong button this
one and then press the Brew strength strong the one on top good and we want this but this light
to light up the strong because it says strong we like our coffee strong good okay we light
um this one so if you guys hear Arlo he's speaking Spanish he mostly speaks Spanish actually yeah
mommy's not registering no no no no we don't want that button you pressed the buttons you needed to
press That's a good job pressing buttons okay so now we just have to wait for the coffee okay
um but yeah he mostly speaks Spanish but lately he's been mixing languages and somebody asked
me back to my pizza he's saying here's your butterfly mom here's your butterfly
um what was I gonna say oh somebody asked me recently like are we worried about him mixing
all these languages because he speaks Spanish he speaks English but mostly Spanish but he's
learning both obviously we speak both languages to him he's also learning Portuguese and Italian
yesterday yesterday what were you saying Arlo what what do the sheep say in Brother Bear
when they're on the mountain [Music] what do they say they say
foreign Portuguese and he's um learning Italian and it's great and no I am not worried at all
about him mixing languages because they're going in his brain and he's absorbing them at such a
great rate and we're setting him up for an easier future where he can travel and talk to people and
you know if he's not going to be working in those languages they don't have to be perfect he can be
conversational and that's fine you know but at least he's going to understand the languages
be able to enjoy I don't know songs in those languages uh movies stuff like that talk to
people get to know people from around the world eventually you talk to you guys in
your languages so yeah no I'm not worried about it um children's brains are amazing
you guys the way that they learn and so we have to the what I believe is we have to really take
advantage of that and just help them absorb as much as possible I don't want to say teach
as much as possible because you actually don't have to teach children are constantly learning
whether you teach or not no thank you no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no
no no no no no no no no who is licking the coffee grounds off of the grinder no or no
last thing we need is a wired boy bouncing off the walls so when you're wired that's like when you're
high on caffeine or something like you have a lot of energy you're wired okay and bouncing
off the walls that's when kids are going crazy if you're a parent you know what it's like when your
kids are bouncing off the walls right okay so what new vocabulary have you guys learned today
um okay that's it we're gonna wrap up oh no don't don't take that off the plant okay those

um what is it called study it's good study material to work on your pronunciation especially
your fast connected natural speech and please download the guide do not be the lazy student
who doesn't get the Guide because I worked really hard to make that guide for you and I wrote down
um you know the clips that you hear and then I I write the um the connections so
it's easier for you to basically all the information that's on the video is there
and possibly a little bit more information as well so download the guide print it out
you guys study it practice it work on it all our coffees do you hear that everybody our coffee is
